Dr Stephanie Bown is a medical professional who has a major role at the Medical Protection Society. Dr Bown’s responsibilities within the MPS are to promote the interests of the society to a wide and varied range of stakeholders. Having completed an LLB in 1997, Stephanie subsequently qualified as a mediator.
Dr Bown has a long history of working in the medical profession. Stephanie spent over 12 years working in acute hospital medicine as a doctor within the NHS. Her next move was to positions saw her working in obstetrics and gynaecology before eventually moving on to become a General Practitioner.
The MPS comprises of over 260,000 medical professionals. The society provides support for the medical professionals that are facing legal action and claims for compensation. The society is committed to people receiving quality healthcare. They fight against quackery (the art of unqualified doctors passing themselves off as qualified personnel) and seek to educate medical professionals about the dangers and pitfalls of the industry.
The MPS was founded in 1892 and has helped many professionals who needed their help. The society is going from strength to strength.
